Project Objectives:

To analyze the current patient flow process in the Outpatient Department (OPD) of a hospital.

To identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies contributing to increased patient waiting time and turnaround time.

To propose and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency and reducing patient waiting time and turnaround time.

To evaluate the impact of the implemented strategies on patient satisfaction and operational performance.

Project Tasks:

Conduct a literature review on operations management in healthcare and its application in reducing patient waiting time.

Collect data on patient flow, waiting times, and turnaround times in the OPD.

Analyze the data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the current patient flow process.

Develop and propose strategies for improving operational efficiency and reducing patient waiting time.

Implement the proposed strategies in collaboration with the hospital administration.

Evaluate the impact of the implemented strategies on patient satisfaction and operational performance through surveys and data analysis.
