Project Objectives:

Demonstrate understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle including job analysis, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding to effectively support talent acquisition.

Apply knowledge of employment laws, organizational policies, and ethical practices to ensure compliance and fairness in HR processes.

Develop and implement strategies for employee engagement and retention reflecting organizational culture and workforce diversity.

Utilize HR information systems (HRIS) for data management, reporting, and improving HR operational efficiency.

Enhance communication, interpersonal, and professional skills through collaboration with cross-functional teams and engaging with candidates and employees.

Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to improve recruitment outcomes and employee satisfaction.

Exercise professional judgment in problem-solving scenarios related to workplace conflict, diversity, and employee welfare.

Prepare clear documentation and presentations simulating real-world HR reporting and stakeholder communication.

Project Tasks:

Conduct a job analysis for a specific position within a hypothetical company and draft a detailed job description and person specification aligned with organizational needs.

Develop a recruitment plan including sourcing strategies (e.g., job boards, social media, campus recruitment) targeting diverse candidate pools.

Screen a set of fictional candidate resumes against the job criteria and shortlist suitable candidates, providing reasons for selections and rejections based on objective evaluation.

Design a structured interview guide with competency-based questions and participate in mock interviews to assess candidate fit.

Create an onboarding checklist and orientation plan aimed at improving new hire experience and retention.

Analyze provided anonymized HR data (such as turnover rates and time-to-hire) to identify patterns and draft a report recommending improvements.

Develop an employee engagement survey and propose at least two initiatives based on survey results to address engagement gaps.

Prepare a professional presentation summarizing project findings, recruitment plans, and engagement strategies to be delivered to HR management, demonstrating clear communication and use of visual aids.

Reflect on legal and ethical considerations encountered during the project, documenting potential risks and mitigation strategies.
