Through this project, the students will be able to:-
Identify sourcing markets internationally for their products into India.
Evaluate the requirement for those goods into the Indian market.
Understand the import duty structure and procedures in India.
Arrive at landed costs for their products from potential sourcing markets into India.
Understand the global logistics and operations of transportation of those products.
Identify current & potential importers for the product.
Establish import viability for products.
Students will be required to undertake following tasks to successfully complete the project:-
Analysis of import data
Analysis of local production and consumption data.
Studying the FTP, customs duty & SION.
Connecting & interacting with support agencies viz. freight forwarders, CHA, agents, etc.
Preparation of comparative cost sheets.
