Project Objectives:

The telematics-based insurance pricing solution leverages connected vehicle data to analyze driver behavior, mileage, and driving patterns. This solution enables Usage-Based Insurance (UBI) policies, where premiums are determined based on actual driving performance. The project aims to offer drivers personalized insurance pricing while encouraging safer driving habits. The team comprises data scientists, telematics experts, software developers, and insurance consumers. The overall goal is to enhance customer acquisition, reduce claim costs, and mitigate risks associated with unsafe driving through telematics data and predictive analytics.

Project Tasks:

Week 1-2

Initiation

Define objectives, scope, and high-level requirements of the project.

Gather data and resources

Week 3-5

Information Collection and Preprocessing phase

Collect and preprocess historical and real-time driving data collected from the telematics devices.

Analyze information and work out the patterns of driving behavior and risk factors.

Week 6-8

Design and deployment

Designing and deploying Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning models used to assess the risks and the price quotes for insurance.

Validating model accuracy and performance with historical data.

Week 9-10

Solution Testing and Integration

The telematics-based insurance pricing solution will be integrated into the existing insurance systems after deploying the same for solution testing.

Week 11-12

Deployment and Monitoring phase

Solution deployment in the insurance environment.

Monitor solution performance and make necessary adjustments.
