Project Objectives:

Problem: Manufacturing defects and process inefficiencies increase production costs and waste.

Outcome: Apply Six Sigma principles to improve quality and reduce defect rates.

Project Tasks:

Week 1-2: Six Sigma Methodology & Project Selection

Study Six Sigma DMAIC methodology.

Identify a manufacturing process for improvement.

Week 3-4: Data Collection & Process Mapping

Measure current defect rates and efficiency metrics.

Create process flowcharts and identify critical areas.

Week 5-6: Root Cause Analysis & Solution Development

Use Six Sigma tools (Pareto Analysis, Fishbone Diagram) to diagnose problems.

Develop process improvement solutions.

Week 7-8: Pilot Testing & Process Optimization

Implement changes in a test phase.

Monitor defect reduction and efficiency gains.

Week 9-10: Full Implementation & Continuous Improvement

Expand successful changes to full production.

Develop monitoring strategies for sustained improvements.

Week 11-12: Report & Final Presentation

Document Six Sigma results and key learnings.

Present to manufacturing and quality control teams.
