
The primary aim of this project is to enable students to conduct a comprehensive and comparative analysis of various mutual fund schemes based on key performance indicators such as returns, risk, expense ratio, fund category, and investment objectives. Students will critically evaluate the performance of selected mutual fund schemes over a defined period and draw insights regarding their suitability for different types of investors.
"Through this project, students will address the challenge faced by investors in selecting the most appropriate mutual fund scheme amidst a vast array of options. By analyzing and comparing multiple schemes, students will develop an understanding of: How different mutual funds perform across time horizons and market conditions;(ii)The risk-return trade-off involved in mutual fund investments;(iii)The role of fund managers, asset allocation, and portfolio diversification in influencing fund performance & Develop decision-making skills for investment planning.

The students should focus on the below points :1.Setting of Objectives & scope of the analysis The scope will include the purpose and outcome of the comparative analysis (e.g., Equity vs debt funds atleast 2 Asset Management companies )
Literature review & understandig the relevant finacial theories related to Investment performance
Selection of MF schemes Selection on the basis of factors like asset class, risk, investment objective, customer profile etc
Data collection:- historical & comparison with the recent data
Data analysis & interpretation
