Project Objectives:

To understand the concept, architecture, and components of IoT in the context of smart home automation.

To design and develop a system that allows centralized or remote control of home appliances using IoT devices.

To evaluate the efficiency, scalability, and security of IoT-enabled home automation solutions.

To analyze the role of sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and cloud platforms in real-time smart home systems.

To explore the impact of IoT-based automation on energy efficiency, user convenience, and home safety.

Project Tasks:

Conduct a literature review on smart home automation technologies and IoT communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, Zigbee, Wi-Fi).

Identify key hardware components (e.g., Arduino/Raspberry Pi, sensors, relays, Wi-Fi modules) required for implementation.

Design and prototype a smart home system to control lighting, fans, security systems, or appliances remotely via smartphone/web interface.

Integrate cloud platforms (e.g., Blynk, AWS IoT, Firebase) for device monitoring, data logging, and control.

Implement basic safety and security features such as intrusion detection or fire/smoke alerts.

Test the system for responsiveness, reliability, and energy efficiency across various scenarios.

Prepare a detailed report including system design, technical stack, test results, challenges faced, and future scalability plans.
